Thousands of skiers will take to the trails this weekend for the legendary American Birkebeiner. It’s the largest cross country ski marathon in North America, running 50 kilometers from Cable to Hayward, Wisconsin. Now, climate change, including warmer winter temperatures, threatens the future of the Birkebeiner.
