The Apostle Islands have been a favorite summertime destination for more than 100 years. Hotels and summer cottages sprang up to accommodate tourists drawn to the wild beauty of Lake Superior. Commentator Jim Feldman tells us about the human and natural history of one of these magical islands.

Jim Feldman is the author of A Storied Wilderness: Rewilding the Apostle Islands, and an associate professor of history and environmental studies at UW-Oshkosh.
