Places we think of as scary, often acquire that reputation over long periods of time, or from simple neglect. The old crumbling house on the edge of town.  Or a forgotten graveyard in the middle of a dark forest. Sometimes though, that essence of scary is intentional, and only accessible to the public a handful of days each year. In this way, the scariest place in Wisconsin, in October, might just be Wisconsin Scaryland in Waunakee.
