Step into Milwaukee’s Zócalo Food Park, where food trucks serve up a world of flavors in historic Walker’s Point. Co-owner Jesus Gonzalez shares how this culinary incubator is lowering barriers for aspiring restaurateurs and celebrating the city’s multicultural roots. From pizza to Puerto Rican cuisine, Zócalo offers visitors a taste of Milwaukee’s diversity while fostering community and economic opportunity for local food entrepreneurs.

Then we travel to The Red Putter Mini-Golf, a family-owned miniature golf course nestled in the heart of Door County, Wisconsin. Renowned for its yearly pro miniature golf tournament each summer, the Red Putter attracts players from all over the country vying to win. The overall winner gets cash, a trophy, and the big prize, a custom red suit jacket.

Next, Ernesto Estigarribia Mussi came on board as conductor of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra for the 2022-23 season with a reputation for an “effervescent” style. His bubbly personality has energized the orchestra which claims to be the state’s oldest. The Paraguyan has found he loves the American Midwest, the people, and making music for them.

We then head to Milwaukee to meet Mikel McGee. McGee always loved giving back to her community but she also found a hobby in floral arranging. Her flower shop, 414loral, combines her two passions to cultivate a community space.

Finally, wejoin Equality Motorsports, an auto racing team dedicated to inclusion in the high-speed sport. The colors of the trans flag on Bentley Knaack’s racer make it visible on the track and at Pride events in La Crosse. In an environment that can be intimidating both on and off the track, Bentley is earning the respect of her fellow drivers.
